We were so excited to offer something really special this year for our 20th Anniversary in Ottawa. Ever year we have been trying to up the ante for you all and we think we really hit it out of the park with this one. We are so lucky with our business that we get to travel and see some incredible places around the world. When we were thinking of how to put this together this year we wanted something that stood out, something memorable and a chance to give back to our community after 20 years of your support!
What better than to give you the chance to experience the magic of travel which inspired this business and has kept it going for 43 years since inception! The answer was a flight voucher to anywhere! $2000 for 20 years in business. We had lots of fun putting this together and whether you entered online or in person as thousands of your did it was such an enthusiastic response.

2021
We ran a great giveaway for the Bazaar’s 40th Anniversary. Pia Gamberg of Kemptville was our winner. Pia came to visit the Bazaar that year for a quick stop in on her way to Bakker’s General Store, and good thing she did! We surprised here at her work and she went on to design a custom coloured seagrass pouf!
Pia was so excited to have something made specifically for her and her home. Her enthusiasm really encouraged us to continue this giveaway. We love connecting customers directly to the maker of the goods, putting a face and story to the beautiful handcrafted pieces.
2022
In 2022, our winner, Steph Kell of Russell, took her prize and turned it into something truly special. Initially planning for a custom corner desk, her vision evolved into a stunning mid-century modern dining table and chairs to better suit her home and her growing family. Throughout the process, we worked closely with Steph to refine the design, from choosing the perfect style to ensuring it matched her space. Despite a slight delay due to shipment issues, she finally received her beautiful dining set this past summer. As a traveler herself, Steph shares a love for exploring the world that resonates deeply with us. It was such a joy to work with her and help bring her ideas to life, creating a piece that now serves as a meaningful centrepiece in her home.
In 2023, our Heart of Handcrafted Giveaway winner, Madison Awender, had the unique opportunity to collaborate with one of our talented artisans to create a custom painting. She chose a heartfelt image of her family property—a picturesque barn and field with beautiful horses—to be brought to life on canvas.
The final piece, framed in a striking black frame, was truly breathtaking and captured the charm and serenity of the scene perfectly. When Madison visited us this summer to pick up her custom painting, her excitement was infectious. Paired with her $700 gift card to shop for handcrafted treasures, the giveaway offered her a meaningful way to celebrate the artistry and craftsmanship that makes One World Bazaar so special. It was such a joy to help her bring her vision to life!
